Saundra started acting, singing and dancing in 1975 as a young teen. Some of her pre-college shows include “Two Gentlemen From Verona,” “Lil Abner,” and “David and Lisa.”

A native of Denver, she earned her B.A. in Theater Arts with a double Minor in dance and psychology from the University of Northern Colorado. Later she earned her M.A. in psychology from UNC Denver. In her undergraduate work she studied jazz, tap, ballet and modern dance: Greek Theater, Shakespeare, Musical Theater, Voice, Drama, Comedy and all aspects of theatrical production. Her favorite rolls included Diana in “California Suite”, Agatha in “Guys and Dolls”, Gertie in “Oklahoma”, Sissy in “Come Back to the Five and Dime Jimmy Dean…” and Bebe in “A Chorus Line.” She was blessed to win an award for her role (Abigail) in the world premiere of “Finding the Sun”, under the direction of the Pulitzer Prize winning play write and Broadway director, Edward Albee. She was a member of an improvisational theater group in Denver, “Chicken Lips”.

She had the great honor of working with Debbie Reynolds and Tom Bosley during filming of “Perry Masson” and “Father Dowling” television series. She sang with the Colorado Mormon Chorale, a semi-professional choir, for seven years which afforded her the amazing experience of singing in Israel under the direction of movie score and classical composer Lex De Azevedo and at Carnegie Hall with Rene Clausen. She and her 7 year old daughter performed in Pioneer Players production of “Oliver” together. She began teaching at Motions Dance and later Class Act Dance where she has been involved in many productions productions. In August 2016 she was very pleased to be the choreographer for Wine Country Theater’s production of Fiddler. Since that time she choreographed two Applause Children’s Theater, Annie Jr and Beauty and the Beast Jr.

In 1986 she trained and worked for Fred Astaire Studios in all forms of Ballroom, Latin, Swing and Couples dance. She currently teaches group and private lessons and specializes in wedding dances.
