We had arranged a dance lesson for our friend as a surprise for her milestone birthday. Saundra is a great instructor. Many of us in the group had never danced before but she took us through the steps so gracefully. It was a wonderful learning experience. Recommend highly

We had never danced before starting lessons at ages 56 & 59. Saundra patiently guided us through Foxtrot, Waltz, and swing. We stayed with it for ~6 years and thoroughly enjoyed it. COVID and knee surgery have halted our lessons at present. We hope to get back for some refresher lessons soon. I would highly recommend Saundra to anyone who wants to learn a variety of dance styles.

Our daughter was getting married, and I found a dance instructor named Saundra for my husband and daughter for the father dance. When I hired Saundra, she agreed to meet them at the venue where my daughter was getting married and do lessons there so they would be more comfortable on the big day. We only had a few lessons, but boy was it worth it!! It was a simple yet graceful dance, and I am so glad my husband and daughter took the time to take those few lessons, because it made all the difference in the world! I would definitely recommend lessons to anyone getting married! And as for Saundra, she was kind and fun, and communicated well and was flexible throughout the process. Thank you Saundra!!

It was just a few months before our wedding and we still hadn’t scheduled any dance lessons. I wanted to have that special first dance with my new husband, Eric. I had been to so many weddings and although every first dance is always sweet, I wanted more than “sweet”. I knew who to call! Saundra with First Step Ballroom!!

I met Saundra at the Wedding Expo at the Madonna Inn; I had chatted with her and really liked her. The challenge was being able to schedule lessons with my fiancé, as he is a truck driver and on the road most of the time. Saundra was able to schedule us that week, while he was home. We were nervous, but Saundra was welcoming and calmed our nerves. We discussed ideas for our first dance and gave her our song. Our first lesson went well, much better than Eric or I expected. Saundra made each step easy to understand. She worked with us to schedule lessons every time Eric was home. We both enjoyed dancing (it was great to be in his arms, staring up into his eyes). Saundra taught, watched, listened and began adding steps to make our dance more amazing. Some of the new steps challenged us, however, with Saundra guiding us, we learned each turn, each swivel, each pivot and we were having such a great time.

Mid-March 2020, 5 weeks before our wedding, the Pandemic shut everything down. No more lessons, no wedding rehearsal, no wedding. At least not how we had planned. We did get married in a very small ceremony, overlooking the beach, on our planned wedding day. It was more beautiful than I ever imagined. In early December 2020, we were able to use our intended wedding venue for our reception. We celebrated with about 20 of our closest friends and family, where we showed off our dance moves. It had been 8 months since our last lesson and we knew it was in no way, going to be amazing. The music started, I was in his arms, as his wife, and he led the way. Everyone cheered and clapped, and even though mistakes were made, it was more than I had imagined in that moment. Magical.
